Wild Rift is one of the most anticipated games in the history of mobile gaming. Riot Games recently released the official gameplay of Wild Rift on their Youtube channel. After the release of the gameplay video, it has been noted that the game differs in various ways from the PC version. Here are the major differences between League of legends and Wild Rift Mobile.
Wild Rift vs League of Legends
League of Legends is a major esports game which is available on the PC. Wild Rift is an abridged version of the LoL that will be available for mobile devices. There are various changes that have been made for making the game suitable for mobile platforms.
The map size of Wild Rift will be smaller than the map size of League of Legends. Riot Games have done so to ensure the best possible MOBA experience for the players. This also ensures that a game lasts for 15-20 minutes on average which is not the case in League of Legends. In the PC version, the game lasts for about 35-40 minutes on an average.
Apart from this, League of Legends features three inhibitors per team on the three lanes. Inhibitors are structures that block the training of enemy super minions. This feature or the structure has been removed from Wild Rift in order to shorten the size of the map.
In League of Legends, the players have to set up a rune page right before a match. However, this won’t be the case with Wild Rift. All of the rune pages will be preset in Wild Rift. Each rune page consists of four runes on one path. Keystone has also been included in the path. The runes will be comparatively easier to understand on the mobile version. New runes only specific to Wild Rift has been added which include Sweet Tooth and Loyalty.
The number of items will be reduced in Wild Rift as compared to League of Legends. Teleport will also be available as an item in Wild Rift. However, in League of Legends, teleport is available as a summoner’s spell. In Wild Rift, the basic boots can be upgraded into six possible items which are the only active items in Wild Rift.
Champions and their Skills
Wild Rift will feature 40 champions in the beginning whereas League of Legends has more than 140 champions for the players to choose from. Apart from this, the skills of some of the champions have also been modified to make it compatible with mobile devices.
Visuals and Controls
One of the major differences between Wild Rift and League of Legends is the control. The buttons in the mobile version has been optimized in a way to provide the best possible accuracy. However, it cannot meet the level of accuracy available to the keyboard and mouse on the PC. Unlike the PC version of the game, the controls have been customized such the champions will automatically target the minions with the lowest health first.
The warding system is different for Wild Rift. Ward activation recharges every 120 seconds to gain War Activation. In order to activate the ward plants in Wild Rift, a champion needs to stand for two minutes on the ward. If an enemy has already activated the ward, you can still activate it by standing on the ward.
Last Hit Farming
Last hit farming will be comparatively easier in Wild Rift. When a minion’s health changes to white color, it means that your next basic attack will finish the minion. Thus, this makes it easier to farm in Wild Rift as compared to League of Legends. Also, the gold and stats of the minions will keep increasing as the game goes on.
