Season 7 in Call of Duty Mobile was around the corner and everyone was excited about it. However, Activision has now announced that Call of Duty mobile Season 7 has been delayed. This has been done intentionally to support the cause of “Call for End to Racism”. Therefore, we support and respect Activision’s decision.
About the Delay
On June 1, 2020, Activision announced on its official twitter handle about the delay of the update. This has been done to support a noble cause. The official Statement:
Therefore it is confirmed that Call of Duty Mobile Season 7 has been delayed. Also, there is no announcement regarding the official release date of the season.
Why has it been done?
An unarmed Black man died due to a Minneapolis police who knelt on the man’s neck. He was a 46-year-old Bouncer who suffocated to death. Therefore, this has lead to various protests in the United States.
Thus, in order to support the protest and the cause “Call for End to Racism”, Activision has delayed the updates for all of their games. According to Activision, “Right now, it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard”.
Activision is not the only company who is supporting this cause. There are many other gaming companies that support this cause. Some of these companies are EA, Marvel, Riot Games, and more. It is not the right time to celebrate because of current situations.
